First Annual Community Carol Sing
The Andrew Carnegie Free Library & Music Hall
and Carnegie Renaissance initiated a new holiday tradition on Sunday, December 19.
It presented a holiday concert of familiar and not so familiar carols.
Audience members were invited to sing along on traditional favorites. Choir members came from
All Saints Polish National Church, Carnegie Presbyterian Church, Holy Virgin Russian Orthodox Church,
Pittsburgh Savoyards, and Stage 62. Young musicians from the Pittsburgh Music
Academy also presented selections.
Special programming for children included a special rendition
of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. Holiday treats were given to the children
at the end of the Community Carol Sing.
The following link will allow you to watch the singing of
the Rudolph. The movie is 3,000 KB in size so be prepared for a long wait if you
try this while using dial access to the Internet.

Peg Bowman was the Musical Director for the event.
Donations were also accepted for Carnegie Flood Relief.
The Community Carol Sing was made possible through the generosity of PNC Bank.
